The second meeting was done still and Marti where the project leader and other staff met with the Turkana morans and the Samburu morans in Suiyan. The following topics were discussed by the participants.

CONFLICTS

QUESTION ASKED.
 1.      What are the causes of conflicts?
2.      What benefits do you get from raids?
3.      What are the demerits of cattle rustling?
4.      What are the possible solutions that can be adopted?
5.      What are the major roles played by morans in this vice?

The meeting started with a word of prayer and thereafter greetings from the chairman. The participants were informed of the purpose of the meeting which was the peace meeting and discussion of the way forward for these waring communities. The participants were also informed of the importance of living together as neighbors. The two communities had fought for several decades. The people living in Morijo had refused to migrate although they were attacked severally. The same case applies to the people living in Marti. Peace is like leather shoes which needs daily care and polishing. If not polished the shoes will be look bad. People need peace as not in talking alone but also in deeds. Politicizing the process of peace creation will to failure and the objectives of the project because people will go against each other. The participants were urged to support this peace programme.
